All About Me...

Hi Ya'll!

I’m Jazmyne Flesher, the woman behind the lens & Jazmyne Leigh Photography!

I am a recent graduate from Northwest College. I majored in Photography and Business and graduated in May of 2021. I have recently fully registered my business & plan to continue to grow as a photographer!

I wouldn’t be able to juggle everything on my plate if it weren’t for my amazing support system. It all starts with my wonderful Husband, Colt. We met here in Powell through some mutual friends in 2018. We Started dating in February of 2020, got engaged in June of 2020 and found out we were expecting our first little one July 2020. It all happened soo fast, but when you know, you know.  He deals with all my crazy ideas along with my love for our four-legged friends. We currently have two pups; Shep who is a pure-bred Dutch Shepard, and Mack who is a mix of a German Shephard and Siberian Husky. You could say that the house is never without fur. We also have miss Luna, a cat who not only is lazy but is exceptionally hyper. We also have recently acquired two Geldings; Quick and TP and my Mare; Haven! In the midst of all the craziness of being a wife, caretaker of six animals, Colt and I have a year old son! We are also expecting our second boy in November! It is never a dull moment in our house or even our lives.

A little more...

Let me tell you how it all started and how I got to where I am today.

The first thing they ask you when you get into high school is do you know what you want to do when you finish with school? Well, like everyone else I had no idea. I didn’t figure it out until the middle of my sophomore year and even then, I was still hesitant.

At the beginning of my Sophomore year, I started taking my camera to a majority of the sports events that were in town and photographed them as I didn’t have anything else to do with my time . At that point, I decided to go in and talk to our yearbook teacher and see if they needed any of the photos I took for the yearbook. Lucky for me, they did! During my Junior and Senior year I was actively involved in yearbook and was even referred to as the main photographer. Besides sports, I wanted to get practice in with some portraits as well, so I asked various students throughout the school if we could do photoshoots. They agreed and most of them turned out well considering not knowing anything about photography. My hobby quickly turned into my lifeline. My passion.  It was my Senior year when I finally picked a college; NWC as it was close to home, had a stellar reputation for their photography department and it didn’t cost an arm and a leg. To say I have been impressed is an understatement.  I love everything about the program and when given the chance, I recommend it to anyone who is interested. Since graduating from Northwest, I have slowly worked on my dream all the while working full time! I book photoshoots on the side for now, until I am able to go full time with my photography!
